Artist Bio
Anita Bartlett lives just outside Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Originally from Nova Scotia, she studied fine art at Mount Allison University and fashion design at Parsons School Of Design.
Anita has worked as an illustrator for over 20 years - creating original artwork for fabric and paper products for major US brands. Her art has been featured on products for Absorba, American Greetings, Bealls, Buy Buy Baby, Crayola, The Gift Wrap Company, Girl Scouts, Isotoner, JCPenney, Jeep, Jillson & Roberts, Joann, Joe Boxer, Macy's, Marcel Shurman, Nashville Wraps, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Office Depot, Paper Magic Group, Papyrus, Prevention Magazine, Riley Blake Designs, Slow Cooker Magazine, Target, Walmart, and more.
Anita's painting style embraces minimalism and vibrant color. Her paintings are strongly influenced by the whimsical and naive illustration style she worked in as an illustrator.
Anita enjoys hiking trails, drinking Kicking Horse Coffee, Starbucks lattes, watching for bears and bison (from the safety of a vehicle), and shopping for deals at Anthropologie.
